A small, old and dark house in the historic centre of Trapani in Sicily, which a careful project that paid close attention to the use of space and natural light has wisely transformed into a bright home with liveable spaces. In this design process, a lot of care and research was put into the materials and their combination, with particular attention to the marble that takes on a leading role in defining the architectural lines of the kitchen with a tailored Grigio Venezia marble top, the same used in the minimal geometries of the indoor marble staircase. A house that the architects have been able to enhance through the recovery of what the house itself already contained, such as the Sicilian Perlato marble washbasin which, appropriately remodelled in its shapes and finishes, became a piece of furniture.
